LIFE
IS COMPLICATED....
BUT TERM LIFE INSURANCE DOES NOT HAVE TO BE.
| Term Life Insurance
Life insurance is a necessary item for you to one-day purchase. It makes life easier on your beneficiaries once you have passed. One such form of life insurance is called term life insurance. This particular type of life insurance is insurance that is issued to cover the policyholder for
a specified period of time. This unit of time can be one, five, fifteen, ten, or even twenty years. Term life insurance can even be purchased in a policy for up to thirty years. The upside to the policy would be that it has the ability to be renewed when the policy expires. The premium is
paid throughout the time that the policy is in effect, but may increase as the policyholder ages and becomes more of a risk to die.
The downside to purchasing term life insurance instead of whole life insurance is that the premiums do increase. As the policyholder grows older and the risk of death increases, a higher premium will be put into effect. Term life insurance also provides the policyholders beneficiaries
with a pre set amount of coverage should the policyholder die within the time period stated in the life insurance policy. There is no pay out if the policyholder is still alive when the policy ends. However, term life insurance policies can be renewed. If not, all payments for the life insurance
stop and the coverage ends.
Term life insurance is generally the least expensive of all life insurance policies. It is a great policy for those who wish to have the option to renew or not and it is all at a cheaper cost to the policyholder. Term life insurance is referred
to as temporary life insurance and it has no cash value. It is kind of like just in case I die type of life insurance. It gives the policyholder a temporary solution to life insurance in the event that your death occurs. This covers all expenses that your beneficiaries may come in contact
with after your death, but before the policy ends. Your death benefits are paid and no one has to worry about where that money will come from. Life insurance companies will pay the beneficiary your policy amount.
Say that you have a policy that lasted only five years and then it ends. Now you have the option to renew the policy for another five years, maybe only one year, or even up to thirty years. It all depends on you. You control your policy and the term amount that you desire. You also have
the option to accept that your policy has expired and move on to a completely different insurance company for another term life insurance policy or perhaps a more permanent life insurance policy option.
Term life insurance has to be paid in full just as you would any other form of life insurance. If you miss payments or are constantly late on your monthly payments, then your policy could lapse. For this reason, you can purchase yearly policies of term life insurance and renew at the end
if you wish.
